Identifying as the People of God
Our ultimate goal should be to be used as instruments who create God’s kingdom where we are, no matter what country we are from. Our life here on earth is temporary, but God does want to heal each and every nation of the world. We, as the people of God, are called to be a blessing to all the nations of the earth. Our job is not to build up the strength of any one particular country but the church which is comprised of people from every nation, tribe, and language (Revelations 7:9). Our role is to prepare for Christ’s return and for a new heaven and a new earth (Revelations 21:1-4).
Let’s not forget our identity as the people of God. Our culture should be shaped by God’s standards through His Holy Spirit and Truth. What does this look like? More than political policies it is about Christians living as the salt and light of the world (Matthew 5:13-14). We cannot lose our flavor or our light. If we do, then we are not reflecting God’s glory to the world.
Christians are created to reflect God’s glory by good works. What does this look like? More than anything, the demonstration of a Christ-like character and a Spirit-filled life. As Christians live out the fruits of the Spirit, which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22), we demonstrate that we are a royal priesthood, a holy nation, allowing others to see and know our good, good God. Against such things, there is no law.
God is calling us to go back to the basics of what a relationship with God means. We are simply to walk in fellowship with Him. It is not about our knowledge or accomplishments or national success. It is about journeying in relationship with Abba Father. The kingdom we are called to build is the church, that is the Body of Christ. And our calling as a church is not only to journey with God ourselves but also in community with others, discipling our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ in their own journeys of walking with God.

• Ask God to give you a new understanding of what it means to belong to the people of God.
• Ask God to fill you more with the fruits of His spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control.
• Pray for the church to journey together in community as the Body of Christ.
하나님의 백성임을 식별하다
우리의 궁극적인 목표는 우리가 어느 나라 출신인가와 관계없이 우리가 있는 그곳에서 하나님 나라를 창조하는 도구로 사용되는 것입니다. 이 땅에서의 우리의 삶은 일시적이지만 하나님은 각 사람들과 세상의 모든 나라를 치유하기를 원하십니다. 하나님의 백성인 우리는 이 땅의 모든 민족에게 축복이 되도록 부름을 받았습니다. 우리의 일은 특정한 한 나라의 힘을 세우는 것이 아니라 모든 나라와 족속과 방언의 사람들로 구성된 교회를 세우는 것입니다(계 7:9). 우리의 역할은 그리스도의 재림과 새 하늘과 새 땅을 준비하는 것입니다(계 21:1-4).
하나님의 백성으로서의 정체성을 잊지 맙시다. 우리의 문화는 하나님의 성령과 진리를 통한 하나님의 기준에 따라 형성되어야 합니다. 이것은 무엇일까요? 정치적인 정책보다는 세상의 소금과 빛으로 살아가는 그리스도인들에 관한 것입니다(마 5:13-14). 우리는 우리의 맛이나 빛을 잃으면 안됩니다. 만일 그렇다면, 우리는 하나님의 영광을 세상에 나타낼 수 없습니다.
그리스도인은 선행으로 하나님의 영광을 나타내도록 창조되었습니다. 이것은 무엇일까요? 무엇보다 그리스도와 같은 성품으로 성령 충만한 삶을 살아가는 것입니다. 성령의 열매 곧 사랑과 희락과 화평과 오래 참음과 자비와 양선과 충성과 온유와 절제를 행함으로(갈라디아서 5:22), 우리가 왕 같은 제사장들이요, 거룩한 나라임을 드러내고 이를 통해 사람들이 우리의 선하신 하나님을 보고 알 수 있도록 하는 것입니다. 이와 같은 것을 금지하는 법은 없습니다.
하나님께서는 자신과의 관계의 기본으로 돌아오라고 우리를 부르고 계십니다. 우리는 단순히 그분과의 교제 안에서 걷기만 하면 됩니다. 그것은 우리의 지식이나 업적들, 국가적 성공에 관한 것이 아닙니다. 그것은 아빠 아버지와의 관계 안에서 함께하는 여정에 대한 것입니다. 우리가 세워 나가도록 부르심을 받은 나라는 교회, 곧 그리스도의 몸입니다. 그리고 교회로서의 우리의 소명은 하나님뿐만 아니라 공동체 안에서 다른 사람들과 함께 동행하는 것이며, 주님과의 삶의 여정을 걸어가는 형제 자매들을 제자 삼는 것입니다.

• 당신을 사랑과 희락, 화평과 오래 참음, 자비와 양선, 충성과 온유와 절제의 성령의 열매로 채워 주시기를 구하십시오.
• 교회가 그리스도의 몸 된 공동체로서 함께 걸어 나갈 수 있도록 기도하십시오.
